written by Roger Kumble, adapted from the novel by Choderlos de Laclos
Sebastian: Who are you calling?
(Sebastian grabs away the cellphone)
Kathyrn: What are you doing?
Sebastian: Before we go through with this, I just want to make you aware of the damage we're about to cause.
Kathyrn: (contemplates for a second then shrugs) I'm aware.
(Sebastian grabs away the cellphone again) Sebastian: Are you really? We've done some pretty fucked-up shit before, but this is....we're destroying an innocent girl, you do realize that?
Kathyrn: Court Reynolds is going down and if you won't help me, somebody else will.
Sebastian: You amaze me.
Kathyrn: Eat me, Sebastian. It's all right for guys like you and Court to fuck everyone...but when I do it, I get dumped for innocent little twits like Cecile. God forbid I exude confidence and enjoy sex. Do you think I relish the fact I have to act like Mary Sunshine twenty-four-seven so I can be considered a lady? I'm the Marcia-fucking-Brady of the Upper East Side and sometimes I want to kill myself. So there's your psychoanalysis, Dr.Freud. (viciously) Now, tell me...are you in or are you out?
Sebastian: (giving up) Call her.
